Café Luke Dinner Theatre presents Barefoot in the Park
Every Friday, from 07/06/2018 to 07/21/2018, 12:00 AM
Café Luke Dinner Theatre presents Neil Simon's Barefoot in the Park, July 6-21, 2018. Who doesn't like this good ol' comedy classic? No matter how many times you see it, Simon still puts a smile on your face and a laugh in your belly.
Newlyweds Corie, a free spirit, and Paul Bratter, an uptight lawyer, share a sixth-floor apartment of a brownstone in Greenwich Village. While the couple learns to live together, Corie wants Paul to become more easy-going; for example, to run "barefoot in the park." Soon after their marriage, Corie tries to find a companion for her mother, Ethel, who is now alone, and sets up Ethel with neighbor Victor. Inappropriate behavior on a double date causes conflict, and the young couple considers divorce.
Barefoot in the Park stars Jessica Stubbs, Ken Starling, Carla Constanza, Marshall Russell and James Taylor, directed by Don Redman with tech support by Mitch and Gabriel Stubbs. Performances are Fridays and Saturdays, July 6, 7, 13, 20 and 21 at Café Luke Dinner Theatre, located in Olde Towne Slidell at 153 Robert St.
Admission is $45 for both dinner and show. Doors open at 6:30 pm, dinner is served at 7:00 pm, followed by the show at 8:00 pm. Admission is $25 to enjoy dessert and show only, and $20 for patrons wishing to see the show only. For these guests, doors open at 7:45 for the 8:00 show.
